Tux vs. Suit: What's the Difference?

The dress code for our wedding is formal attire. We encourage guests to dress in elegant, elevated styles—floor-length or midi-length gowns for women, and suits or tuxedos for men.As we’ll be celebrating in the spring, feel free to embrace the season with soft colors and floral prints. Light, fresh tones are warmly encouraged while keeping the overall look refined and formal.

Dress Code

*Our favorite thing about Charlottesville is how walkable the downtown area is-all of our event locations are within a 2 mile radius. Guests should be able to walk or take a quick uber to any of the locations. The only exception is the reception venue, which is why we will provide shuttle bus transportation to and from the reception. The town is filled with a lot of cute &amp; local shops, bars &amp; cafes as well as surrounded by beautiful wineries and views. We hope you all fall in love with this cute little town the same way we did!*

Join us for cocktails, dinner, heartfelt toasts, and plenty of dancing as we turn this special day into an unforgettable night. Bring your appetite, your dancing shoes, and your party spirit!* Note: Shuttle Bus boarding will begin outside the church after ceremony to transport guests to reception venue. Shuttle buses will also be returning guests to the hotels after reception. There will be an option to leave reception 30-60min earlier for those who wish to make an early exit. Should you wish to drive your own car, there will be parking spaces available.

Drop in, grab a bite, sip some coffee and share one last hug before the weekend comes to a close. We’d love to see you before you head home!

Airports:

The main two airports in the area are Richmond International Airport (RIC) and Charlottesville–Albemarle Airport (CHO). RIC is the big international airport about 1 hour away from Charlottesville, and CHO is the smaller Charlottesville airport, approximately a 15 minute car ride to the downtown area of Charlottesville, where the hotel blocks are located. Things to keep in mind when choosing which airport to fly into: - If you're coming from Florida, Charlottesville airport doesn’t have direct flights from FL so you will have a connecting flight. However, if you fly into Richmond, you’ll need to rent a car for the drive into Charlottesville. Weigh the pros and cons and see what makes sense for you! - If you're coming from NY, there are direct flights from LaGuardia airport to CHO daily! - CHO has direct flights from the following cities &amp; airports: Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, New York (LaGuardia), and Washington D.C. (Dulles)

** If shoulder dates are needed (Thursday 4/22 or Sunday 4/25), you should be able to book them for a same or lower rate per night OR call the hotel and request for them to add it on

Omni Charlottesville Hotel is where the Bride &amp; Groom will be staying as well as where the Farewell Brunch will be hosted. It does have very limited availability- but don't worry there are plenty of nearby hotels in the downtown Charlottesville area!

The Fairfield Inn is about 0.5miles from the Omni &amp; downtown strip. It's about an 8-10 minute walk. We stayed there during one of our visits and had no problem getting around by foot to all the local downtown spots!
