It all started when they met on Facebook Dating... yes Facebook dating. Just two people still trying to find their "person" not thinking it would actually happen, and definitely not through Facebook. Michael's dating profile said "Brownie points if you're Italian" which Alexa used as her in. They soon realized they lived 100 miles apart (thanks Facebook dating...). Despite the distance, they kept talking. After a couple of weeks, they decided to meet for their first date in Tampa. They felt a connection immediately and bonded over funny stories about their big Italian families. Something about the first date felt special... so they took a selfie, both knowing that one day they would be glad they did.

They quickly fell in love and started sharing their lives with one another... meeting each other's friends and families, going to concerts, traveling together and creating new memories. Knowing this was something special, Michael began looking for a job in the Tampa area. He landed an interview for his dream job at TGH. Pictured here with Charlie wishing him good luck ahead of his interview!

Surprise! Michael got the job... and had to start in only four weeks. They took a huge leap of faith and Michael moved to Tampa, beginning a new chapter in their relationship. This is a selfie taken just after they packed up Michaels' apartment in Orlando.

With Michael now in Tampa and officially stepping into the role of Charlie’s dad, they continued to create memories together. From nights out with friends, beach days with family, football watch parties at their house, and adventures around Tampa, to quiet nights at home cooking dinner or going on a walk, the two continued to build their lives together. Exactly one year after they met, they went back to where it all began... at Pete's Bagels, their first date spot. A tradition they now do every year!

One Saturday morning, when Alexa thought she was having a girls day and Michael was supposed to be working a weekend shift, Michael surprised Alexa with the sweetest proposal which was her easiest yes!

Now they look forward to celebrating their love with all of the people in their lives who mean the most! They can't wait to see you there :)
